Client Requirements

Methanex Corporation required a competitive assessment of their petrochemical terminal at Kitimat.  Methanex wished to compare their Kitimat terminal to petrochemical terminals at other British Columbia ports.

What Was Provided

Lauga & Associates carried out a comparative cost analysis that included: ship operating costs, port charges, pilotage charges, terminal charges and rail tariffs.  Strategic issues about other terminals were assessed and reported.  Lauga & Associates delivered a cost analysis model and a report comparing competitive terminals to the client's terminal in Kitimat.
