The client, TimberWest Forest Products Ltd., required a review and options to rationalize its distribution system, stump to dump.  The system comprised: logging operations, over sized off highway trucks operating on client maintained roads, highway standard trucks on public roads, log sort and dump facilities at two locations, a trans-lake log towing system and a tide water log receiving centre.  A spreadsheet model to rationalize the system was developed.
