Example - A damage free warehousing and distribution plan for paper, Mt. Manganui, New Zealand

The client, Tasman Pulp and Paper Pty. Ltd., required a damage free warehousing and distribution system for paper from their mill and port in New Zealand to receiving ports in Australia and south east Asia.  The distribution system comprised:

 
bulletA mill warehouse;
bulletBlock trains delivering product to a port warehouse;
bulletQuay side pre-stow warehouses
bulletReceiving ports and associated warehouses in Australia
bulletShipments to south east Asia, break bulk and in containers

The work included layout options to consolidate port warehouses for pulp and for paper and a detailed design for an automated damage free warehouse to distribute paper.
