Example - Master Plan for Burrard Civic Marina, City of Vancouver

The client, the Park Board for the City of Vancouver, retained Lauga & Associates and its sub-consultant, Vilholth Jensen and Associates, to carry out a redesign of the 464 berth marina and to prepare a market study and a business plan.  The work entailed:

bulletA market study of regional supply and demand for moorage;
bulletAn analysis of the market for moorage in relation to vessel size and recommendations for a new marina configuration;
bulletDrawings of a new marina layout for floats and for land side development of dry land rack moorage, parking, and facilities for hand powered vessels;
bulletA marketing and business plan including a spreadsheet model for future revenues and expenses during a phased construction program;
bulletA construction sequencing plan to minimize disruptions to users and to revenues.
