Example - Mackenzie River Early Deployment Study

The client, the Canadian Coast Guard, provides seasonal navigation services on 2,000 km of the Mackenzie River main channel.  Lauga & Associates assessed the logistical impact of shortening the shipping season on the Mackenzie River.  The study examined:

bulletThe capacity of commercial carriers to deliver goods during a shortened navigation season;
bulletChanges to the cost of operation for the commercial carriers;
bulletPotential cost savings to the Canadian Coast Guard of a shortened navigation season.
